Support For Dads Who Feel Like They’re Carrying Too Much
Â
Whether you need gentle self-paced support or deeper 1:1 therapy, The Resilient Father offers nervous-system-informed support for dads who feel stressed, reactive, shut down, disconnected, or under pressure.
Â
Choose the path that meets you where you are: begin with The Resilient Father Hub, or apply for one of 10 private 1:1 therapy places inside The Complete Resilient Father.
Â
Find the right support pathIf Fatherhood Feels Heavier Than You Expected
Fatherhood can ask a lot of you, especially when you’re trying to stay calm, provide, support your partner, manage work, show up for your children, and keep everything moving.
You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside you may feel stressed, shut down, reactive, resentful, disconnected, or constantly under pressure. You may find yourself snapping, withdrawing, overworking, avoiding difficult conversations, or feeling like you don’t know how to support the people you love without losing yourself in the process.
This support is for dads who want to understand what is happening beneath those reactions and build a steadier way of showing up at home, in relationships, and in themselves.
There are two ways to work with me, depending on the level of support you need: self-paced support inside The Resilient Father Hub, or deeper 1:1 therapy through The Complete Resilient Father.
Healing your nervous system is not about escaping your responsibilities; it is about changing how your body responds to pressure. When you have been carrying stress for too long, your system can get stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown, leaving you reactive, distant, numb, or constantly braced for the next demand. That is why this work is grounded in the Integrated Self Framework: a body-based, therapeutic approach that helps you understand what is happening underneath your reactions and build a steadier way forward.
Â
Choose The Level Of Support That Feels Right For You

You do not have to choose between coping alone and committing to more than you are ready for. The Nourished Mother gives you two levels of support, so you can begin where you are.
Choose the self-paced Sanctuary if you want gentle tools, practices, and support you can return to in your own time. Choose The Complete Resilient Mother if you are ready for deeper 1:1 therapeutic support.

How The Integrated Self Framework Supports Your 1:1 Sessions
Â
Inside The Complete Resilient Mother, we use The Integrated Self Framework as a flexible map for our 1:1 work together. You don’t have to arrive knowing what you need or which part of the framework applies. We begin with what feels most present in your body, emotions, relationships, and daily life, then shape the session around what your system needs most.
Some sessions may focus on one part of the framework. Others may move between all three. This is not a fixed programme you have to follow. It is a grounded, therapeutic way of helping you understand what is happening underneath the overwhelm and build more steadiness, safety, and choice in motherhood.

Re-Root: Helping Your Body Move Out Of Survival Mode
Establishing Safety in a Tired Maternal Body
When you’ve been under stress for a long time, your body can stay on high alert even when you’re trying to carry on as normal. You may feel tense, anxious, reactive, exhausted, shut down, numb, or like you’re always bracing for the next thing.
So much of what we carry is not only held in our thoughts. Stress, overwhelm, and trauma can live in the body through breath patterns, posture, muscle tension, sensations, and nervous-system responses. This is why talking alone does not always reach the places that feel most stuck.
In Re-Root, we gently work with the body in the present moment. Through somatic therapy, breathwork, trauma-informed yoga, and postnatal yoga, you are supported to notice what is happening inside without forcing, pushing, or overwhelming your system.
As your body begins to feel safer, it can start to soften, release stored stress and tension, and move out of fight, flight, or freeze. From this steadier place, your nervous system has more room to return to calm and ease, where deeper healing becomes possible.
This is the foundation of the work: helping your body feel safe enough to begin letting go.
Re-Connect: Healing The Parts Of You That Feel Too Much
Motherhood can have a jarring way of bringing old wounds to the surface. A moment with your child, your partner, your own parents, or even the pressure of daily life can suddenly unlock intense anger, anxiety, guilt, sadness, shame, or the feeling that you are completely invisible.
In Re-Connect, we use parts work therapy to gently explore the different parts of you that are trying to protect you, keep everything together, or get your attention. These parts might show up as the perfectionist part, the angry part, the anxious part, the part that feels unseen, or the hypervigilant part that is always scanning for what could go wrong.
Often, these parts are carrying old pain, fear, or protective patterns that formed earlier in life. They may be trying to keep you safe in the only way they know how, but when they take over, they can leave you reacting in ways that feel damaging to yourself, your relationships, and the kind of mother you want to be.
Through listening, validation, and gentle therapeutic support, these parts can begin to feel heard rather than pushed away. As their pain and fears are acknowledged, they no longer have to react with the same intensity or run the system in the same way.
This creates more space for Self energy: the calm, compassionate, grounded part of you that can respond with more clarity and kindness. I have completed training in Internal Family Systems and Intimacy From The Inside Out, a six-month couples-focused parts work training, and bring this approach into sessions in a gentle, practical way.
Over time, Re-Connect helps you understand what is happening underneath your reactions, heal the wounded parts that have been carrying so much, and respond to yourself and your family with more calm, compassion, and kindness.
Re-Wire: Using EFT To Work Through Triggers And Shift Emotional Energy
Sometimes you can understand why you feel triggered, but still find yourself reacting before you have time to choose. A tone of voice, a crying baby, a boundary being crossed, a look from your partner, or a memory from your own childhood can suddenly bring up anger, fear, guilt, sadness, shame, or overwhelm.
In Re-Wire, we use Emotional Freedom Technique, often called EFT tapping, to work directly with the emotional charge connected to those triggers. EFT combines gentle tapping on specific acupressure points with talking through the thoughts, feelings, memories, body sensations, and beliefs connected to what is happening in the moment.
This is powerful because triggers are not logical responses. They are body-based reactions to old, unhealed wounds that are still stored in the nervous system. Something in the present moment, such as a tone of voice, a look, a cry, a conflict, or a feeling of being unseen, can remind your body of a past experience and bring that old emotional charge to the surface. When we tap while bringing the issue into awareness, we give the body a calming signal while allowing the emotional energy to move, soften, and shift. Instead of pushing the feeling down or trying to think your way out of it, EFT gives you a way to work through what is actually alive in your system.
In sessions, we may use EFT to explore triggers linked to old memories, painful experiences, limiting beliefs, or current moments in motherhood that feel too much. As the emotional intensity begins to reduce, many mums find they can access more calm, clarity, and compassion, and respond from a steadier place rather than from the original wound or survival response.
Re-Wire is about helping your system learn that it does not have to keep reacting in the same way. It gives you a practical tool for the moments when you feel activated, and a deeper process for gently untangling the old emotional patterns that still shape how you meet yourself, your child, and family life.
How Your 1:1 Sessions May Flow
Inside The Complete Resilient Mother, sessions are shaped around what you bring that day and what your nervous system needs most. Sometimes we may focus more deeply on one part of the framework. Other times, we may weave all three together in one session.
You do not need to decide the format in advance. This simply shows the two ways our work may unfold.

What’s Inside The Nourished Mother Sanctuary
Â
The Nourished Mother Sanctuary is a digital app and membership for mums who feel mostly okay, but know they need more steady support beneath the surface.
Inside the app, you’ll find short, practical nervous system practices you can return to when you have ten minutes, when the day feels too much, or when you want to reconnect with yourself without having to explain anything to anyone.
This is a growing Sanctuary. From launch, new practices will be filmed and added weekly, with deeper monthly classes added over time. You’ll have support to begin with, and the library will keep building so your practice can grow with you. As the library grows, you’ll be able to choose the somatic practices, EFT scripts, parts work meditations, and classes that feel most supportive for you.
Â
ELEMENT 1

A weekly somatic video practice to help settle your nervous system and bring you back into your body. These are simple, grounding practices for the moments when you feel scattered, overstimulated, or disconnected from yourself.
ELEMENT 2
Re-Connect
Weekly 10-minute practice

Weekly EFT tapping support, available as script, video, and audio, focused on real motherhood themes such as guilt, overwhelm, anger, anxiety, resentment, or feeling overstretched. Hi, I’m Fiona
Â
Co-Founder of Re-Younify, Integrative Psychotherapist & Somatic, Postnatal and Kundalini Yoga Teacher
Â
I support mothers who feel overwhelmed, overstretched, reactive, low, or disconnected from themselves to regulate their nervous system, understand old patterns, and feel more grounded in motherhood.
I’m also living this work in real time. I’m a new mum to our eight-month-old daughter, a step-mum in a blended family with our 9 and 11-year-olds, and a business owner. I understand how much identity, exhaustion, emotional load, relationship pressure, and the constant need to keep going can sit inside everyday family life.
The tools I share inside The Nourished Mother are the same tools I use in my own life. When I feel overwhelmed, I use somatic practices, EFT, parts work, breathwork, movement, and nourishment to support my body back into balance and meet the harder moments of motherhood with more steadiness and kindness.
Professionally, my work brings together integrative psychotherapy, somatic therapy, trauma-informed yoga, postnatal yoga, Kundalini yoga, EFT, parts work, polyvagal-informed practice, and nutritional therapy. This means we can work with both what you understand in your mind and what your body is still holding.
I don’t believe mums need more pressure to be calm, perfect, or endlessly patient. I believe we need support that helps us understand what is happening beneath our reactions, care for our nervous systems, and begin creating calmer, kinder patterns in ourselves and our family life.
Through Re-Younify, I help mums move out of survival mode, reconnect with themselves, and begin creating a steadier foundation from the inside out.

When Your Nervous System Softens, Family Life Can Soften Too
Motherhood does not happen in isolation. Your nervous system is part of the emotional rhythm of your home. When you are exhausted, overstimulated, anxious, shut down, or trying to hold everything in, your baby and children can often feel that tension, even when you are doing your best to hide it.
This does not mean you are doing anything wrong. It means you are human, and your body has been carrying more than it was designed to hold alone.
Babies and children often respond to the energy around them. Sometimes they become more clingy, unsettled, reactive, shut down, or demanding when they sense that we are overwhelmed. And when we push our emotions down, those feelings do not disappear. They often come out sideways through tone, tension, disconnection, or the pressure building underneath the surface.
This work is not about becoming a perfectly calm mother. It is about learning how to notice what is happening in your body, support your nervous system, and create more space before the overwhelm takes over.
When you begin to feel more regulated, that steadiness can ripple through your family. You may find it easier to respond instead of react, repair after hard moments, soften around your baby or child, and create a home that feels less tense and more emotionally safe for everyone.
That is the real benefit of this work: not just feeling better for yourself, but changing the patterns your family lives inside every day.
You Were Never Meant To Carry This All On Your Own
