Re-rooting is a vital first step in our integrated self framework, designed specifically for women on a courageous journey of self-love, healing, and personal growth. By combining the insights of Deb Dana’s polyvagal theory with the principles of trauma-informed yoga, this first part of our framework encourages you to arrive in the here and now.
Through embodiment practices, we invite you to slow down and connect deeply with your body. This connection is crucial for understanding the wisdom of your nervous system and recognising how its three states influence your feelings, behaviours, and beliefs. When you learn to self-regulate, you empower yourself to cultivate compassion, connection, and curiosity—essential qualities for your healing journey.
As you navigate the complexities of self-exploration, moving out of adaptive survival states and into a regulated state allows you to embrace your whole self without judgment or self-blame. This process fosters an environment where you can gently confront painful aspects of yourself, creating a safe space for healing and transformation.
By tuning into your biology and stepping away from the narratives your mind constructs, you unlock profound insights into why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Re-rooting is not just about being present; it’s about laying a strong foundation for deeper exploration and growth. Re-Connect
Â
Re-connect is an essential second step in our integrated self framework. In this stage, we focus on harmonising the various parts within you, recognising that your mind is not just a single entity but a collection of different aspects, each with its own feelings and roles.
Using a model called internal family systems, we understand that these inner parts can include both wounded emotions—like fear and anger—and protective parts that try to keep you safe from pain. Just like members of a family, these parts can sometimes take on extreme roles, reacting strongly to experiences and feelings from your past. However, these extremes are not obstacles; they are signposts guiding you toward healing.
In this course, we encourage you to tap into your core Self, a place of clarity and calm. By embodying this Self energy, you can soothe and listen to your inner parts rather than trying to push them away. As you do this, you’ll notice that their intense voices start to calm, allowing you to feel lighter, more open, and more playful.
The goal of re-connect is to explore and heal these wounded parts of your psyche, fostering a sense of confidence, compassion, and wholeness. By understanding and nurturing the diverse aspects within you, you create a deeper connection with your true self. MODULE 03
Re-wire
Â
Re-wire is the empowering final step in our integrated self framework. This stage focuses on transforming your thought patterns by rewiring your brain, particularly those negative signals that have developed from past traumas and experiences.
Negative events can become stored in your body, creating harmful thought cycles that reinforce unhelpful neural pathways in your brain. In our Re-wire sections of the course, we introduce a gentle technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which involves tapping on specific points of your body while you focus on these negative thoughts and feelings. This process helps to calm your nervous system, allowing new, healthier neural pathways to form. By doing this, you can replace the old patterns that no longer serve you with new, empowering ones.
As you engage in this practice, what once felt like emotional burdens start to shift. The painful aspects of your past transform from threats into allies, supporting your journey toward wholeness. Through this liberating process, you will learn how to release negative emotions and beliefs, turning past struggles into valuable resources for your growth and self-discovery.
