A Transformative Day To Reset Your Nervous System And Reconnect
Â
The Re-Younify Day Retreat is a calm, supported space for new mums and dads to step out of survival mode and reconnect with themselves, each other, and the kind of family rhythm they want to create.
New parenthood can stretch your nervous system in ways you may not expect. Sleep deprivation, relationship pressure, identity shifts, crying, feeding, work, older children, and the constant need to keep going can leave your body stuck in a state of high alert.
This day gives you time to pause, breathe, move, reflect, and gently understand what your nervous system has been carrying, so you can begin to return home with more steadiness, presence, and connection.
Â
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
We begin with Kundalini yoga and meditation to help settle the mind and body. Through gentle movement, breath, mantra, and stillness, you’ll begin to create space from the constant noise of daily life and prepare your system for the deeper work of the day.
Â
Re-Root: Movement And Breath
In our first workshop, Re-Root: Movement and Breath, we use somatic movement and breathwork to help you drop back into your body, notice what is happening inside, and begin to feel more grounded. This is about slowing down enough to hear the signals you often miss when you’re rushing, tired, or needed by everyone.
Â
Nourishing Plant-Based Lunch
We then pause for a nourishing organic plant-based lunch. Food is part of the support of the day, not an afterthought. You’ll be given a meal designed to nourish your body and help you feel supported as the work continues.
Â
Re-Connect: Parts Work Therapy
After lunch, we move into Re-Connect: Parts Work Therapy. This workshop helps you gently explore the parts of you that may be carrying stress, fear, anger, grief, protection, guilt, or pressure. Through guided reflection and meditation, you’ll begin to listen to what these parts need, rather than pushing them away or judging yourself for having them.
Â
Re-Wire: EFT Tapping
Our third workshop, Re-Wire: EFT Tapping, uses Emotional Freedom Technique to work with the emotional charge connected to the issues that have surfaced. Through tapping, we support the nervous system to release what has felt stuck, reduce the intensity of triggers, and practise a different response.
Â
Breathwork With John
We then move into a 45-minute breathwork session with John to help integrate the emotional work of the day. Breathwork can support release, regulation, and reconnection, helping you feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded before returning to daily life.
Â
Closing Circle
Finally, we close with a sharing circle, giving you time to reflect on anything that came up during the retreat and gently integrate the practices before heading home.
Â
What You’ll Leave With
You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of your nervous system, practical tools you can use in everyday family life, and a renewed sense of connection to yourself, your partner, and the calmer patterns you want to create at home.
A Peaceful Setting At Cucumber Fields
Held among woodlands, orchards, meadows, and animal paddocks, Cucumber Fields offers a calm retreat setting away from the demands of everyday family life.
Depending on the weather, parts of the day may take place outdoors on the Orchard Platform or inside the studio overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The space is part of the experience: somewhere to slow down, breathe, and feel supported as you reconnect with yourself and each other.

Re-Root
Somatic movement and breathwork to help your body settle
New parenthood can keep your body on high alert. In Re-Root, we use gentle, postpartum-safe somatic movement and breathwork to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and feel more grounded in the present.
Re-Connect
Parts work to understand what’s happening underneath
When you’re exhausted, stretched, or triggered, different parts of you can step forward: the angry part, the anxious part, the protective part, the part that feels like it has to hold everything together. In Re-Connect, we use gentle guided parts work meditations to listen to what these parts are carrying and what they may need.
Re-Wire
EFT tapping to soften emotional triggers
In Re-Wire, we use EFT tapping to work with the emotional charge connected to the issues that have surfaced during the day. This helps your nervous system begin to release what feels stuck, reduce the intensity of triggers, and practise a different response.
Â
Kundalini Yoga Kriya And Meditation
We begin the retreat with a gentle, postpartum-conscious Kundalini Yoga Kriya and meditation to help quiet the mind, settle the body, and soften the overstimulation that can build in early parenthood.
Kundalini Yoga combines movement, breath, mantra, meditation, and stillness to support the nervous system and help release tension from the body. In this opening practice, we use the physical body and breath to begin shifting out of constant alertness and into a steadier, more receptive state.
This practice also offers a gentle way to connect with the energy centres of the body, often known as chakras, without needing any previous experience. The aim is not to perform or push, but to create more space, awareness, and balance as we prepare for the deeper workshops that follow.
Starting the day in this way helps you arrive fully, reconnect with yourself, and begin the retreat feeling calmer, more grounded, and more open to the work ahead.
Â
Workshop One - Re-Root with Movement and Breath
This Trauma Informed Yoga taster stabilisation class is designed to help you re-root into your body. Trauma Informed Yoga is an individualised practice that works at a slower pace than typical yoga classes to allow you the opportunity to rebuild a connection with yourself and to feel safe in your body again.
Trauma Informed Yoga uses invitational language instead of strict instructions and commands to allow you to listen to your own body and forge a more self-aware relationship with yourself. This also allows you to make choices about how you move your body so you can regain a sense of control over it.
In trauma informed yoga the focus is on connection to one's body and not on achieving the right pose or getting to a certain level of flexibility/ strength etc. it is a grounding practice with less emphasis on the poses themselves.Â
We invite you to move at your own pace and offer modifications for each pose. The full expression of a pose is not the goal, we want to offer options, so that you have the opportunity to practice making empowered choices.Â
There is also a greater focus on breathwork to help regulate the nervous system. It is scientifically proven that gentle movement, and a focus on the breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps to reduce the fight flight response, and allows you to be more present and aware of your body.Â
Responding instead of reacting is the key to emotional regulation, and we know from research that yoga and meditation help people to access that pause that will allow you to respond, in any given moment, rather than react.
Â
Workshop Two - Re-Connect With Your Disowned And Hidden Parts
As psychotherapists trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO). In this taster 45 minute parts work, workshop we use meditation to guide you to explore and discover inner parts, disowned or hidden aspects of self to build trust and inner harmony. This process enhances self-awareness, reduces internal conflicts, and makes genuine self-love and self-acceptance more accessible.
Parts work therapy is a mindfulness-based therapy model that views the mind as made up of multiple parts, each with its own voice, role, and memory. It also believes that we all have Self energy, which is our core, compassionate observer. Listening to and validating these parts helps reduce internal conflict and restores harmony.
Most of us have experienced some form of trauma at some point in our lives, and we carry these wounds deep within ourselves, wounds that we often work hard to keep hidden from others.
Parts manifest in a developmental sequence throughout life, with their own personalities, temperaments and a full range of feelings.
As we drop into our bodies we can start to notice the feelings, thoughts, and sensations of our parts, as we listen to them and hear their motives, we realise that regardless of their behaviours, our parts want for us what we want, connection, validation and love.
The goal of parts work therapy is to get to know our core Self and heal our injured parts so that we can live with confidence, curiosity and compassion.
When we embody more Self energy and listen to our parts rather than try to ignore them we gain clearer insight into our problems as we can trace the trajectory of our own feelings and emotional histories with more clarity and understanding.
We will provide you with a workbook that you will use in the session and can take home with you to help you better understand this therapy model.
We also offer one-to-one sessions if you want to dive deeper into parts work therapy after the day retreat.
Â
Workshop Three - Re-Wire Your Brain And Transform Limiting Beliefs
As psychotherapists trained in Emotional Freedom Technique, in this 45 minute EFT taster workshop we use tapping on acupressure points to help you process triggers, release emotional blocks, and transform limiting beliefs.
EFT has its roots in Eastern philosophies, particularly acupuncture and has a profound effect on calming the nervous system and lowering cortisol the stress hormone.
EFT is a very simple practice and is based on two principles Tap on certain meridian points, while you Talk (or think) about the issue you are wanting to work through.
Tapping on certain meridian points has been shown to have a powerful impact on the way the brain responds to stress and the way it processes emotions.
As we tap on specific acupressure points on the face and upper body while we recall a traumatic memory or triggering situation, we provide a soothing physical cue that helps calm the nervous system.
This pairing of a traumatic memory with a soothing physical stimulus often breaks the power of that memory, reducing its emotional intensity.
This allows us to change the distressing memory or self-limiting belief or behaviour.
Tapping signals to the body that we are safe, and so the conditioned loop is broken. After tapping on a specific problem, the nervous system no longer associates the memory with stress and the emotional intensity of that memory is released.
We often have surface emotions like frustration, stress and overwhelm, that are covering up deeper emotions like rage, anger, fear, and sadness.
In this 45 minute EFT session we will use borrowing benefits, a strategy that involves setting an intention to work on our own specific issue before turning our complete focus towards assisting someone else to tap through their issue. Using a volunteer to demonstrate we tap along working on our own issue and usually find a reduction in emotional intensity at the end of the tapping session.Â
If at the end of the day retreat you wish to dive deeper into your personal story, we offer one-to-one online therapy sessions to help you heal these deeper emotions and bring more peace and clarity to your life.
Â
Calming And Grounding Breathwork Session
This powerful 45-minute breathwork session starts with an opening circle where we come together to set the intention for the session.
We then go into a short meditation to help you relax and focus, this is an essential step in preparing your mind for Breathwork.
Once we are relaxed and focused, we use conscious connected breathing, to help you release all the tension from the day and let go of anything that has come up for you during today's workshops.
After the breathwork, we have a period of silence to help you integrate your experience.
We finish the day with a 45-minute breathwork session because breathwork can help us access and release our unresolved suppressed emotions, providing us with a sense of emotional release.
This process can be incredibly therapeutic, allowing us to let go of any past traumas and negative patterns that have come up for us today leaving us feeling rejuvenated, lighter and clearer.
We finish the day with a sharing circle where you have the opportunity to discuss your experience and the emotions that came up for you during the session.
Â
Benefits of Finishing the Day With a BreathworkÂ
Â
Breathwork is a term used to describe any type of intentional, consciously controlled breath, for therapeutic, meditative, or healing purpose.
Structured breathwork involves specific patterns, rhythms, and techniques that activate the body’s natural healing systems.
It is a powerful practice designed to enhance mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. By consciously controlling your breathing patterns, you can influence your physiological state, calm your mind, and access a deeper sense of peace and clarity.
Breathwork operates through the autonomic nervous system by helping the body move from a sympathetic state (fight-or-flight) to a parasympathetic state (rest and digest).
Deep diaphragmic breathing can lower cortisol levels, reduce heart rate and calm the nervous system within minutes.
Many therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed care, recognise that trauma is stored not just in the mind but in the body. Breathwork helps release physical tension and stored stress.
Combining Breathwork with yoga, parts work therapy and EFT provides a holistic healing approach that targets both the mind and the body.
Finishing the day with a Breathwork session can act as an "emotional release valve," moving you out of conversational, cognitive processing and into somatic, subconscious healing to achieve faster, sustainable outcomes.Â
Plant-Based Organic Lunch
Â
I grew up in the South of France in a small village in the countryside where all my neighbours grew their own vegetables and had fruit tree's. In our own garden we had apples, pears, cherries, grapes, plums and hazelnuts and in the summer months we would just eat fruit straight off the tree's. I think my passion for good organic, homegrown food started here.Â
As a nutritional therapist and passionate cook I wanted to bring you a selection of nourishing salads and sweet treats that are full of the good stuff. I even want to show you that pizza's can be tasty and nourishing.
I believe that if we really want to heal we have to also care about what we put into our bodies, so as much as we are working with the mind (and somatically with the body) during our workshops it is also important that we nourish our bodies with good food.Â
All of the dishes are naturally vegan and gluten free

Fiona Manning
An Integrative Psychotherapist, Kundalini and Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher and Co-Founder of Re-Younify.
My fascination with how trauma affects the body began during my training as a Kundalini yoga teacher. Kundalini, often called the Yoga of Awakening, blends kriyas, breathwork, mantra, mudra, meditation, and mindful movement to awaken dormant energy at the base of the spine. Unlike other styles of yoga that emphasise postures alone, Kundalini Yoga aims to activate and circulate energy through the chakras, expanding awareness, calming the nervous system, and shifting consciousness. During this time, I became aware of how trauma stays stuck in the body and wanted to learn and understand more about how trauma is both psychological and somatic.
In my work as a trauma‑informed yoga teacher, I learned that responses to trauma stay stuck in the body long after the initial traumatic event. Our bodies and minds often continue to react as if the threat is still there. I came to see that healing involves more than recounting the story—it requires addressing how the body holds onto and expresses trauma.
This understanding deepened with my study of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which suggests that present‑day triggers are linked to past unhealed memories stored in the body. By tapping on acupressure points while recalling traumatic memories, we can calm physical responses and reduce reactivity.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I also become fascinated by parts work—the awareness that different aspects of ourselves show up at different times. I realised these parts often reflect childhood trauma and recognising them helps us return to self‑energy and respond more calmly to current life situations.
This led me to understand that we all use adaptive strategies to protect us from past pain and that these strategies are not always helpful and often keep us stuck.
In our In-To-Me-See Day Retreat, we use the Integrated Self Framework to address these past wounds and adaptive strategies so that you can heal past pain and free yourself from these protective patterns of behaviour. Over time, by working with the Integrated Self Framework you will experience a more connected, intimate, authentic relationship with yourself and others.Â

John Mulcrone
An Integrative Psychotherapist, Breathwork Coach and Co-Founder of Re-Younify
I trained as an integrative psychotherapist in 2012, but over the years I realised that talk therapy alone wasn’t enough to truly support my clients. I began to see that how the body responds to life experiences can be just as important as the story being told. This insight led me to deepen my study of somatic approaches.
In 2023, alongside Fiona, I pursued further training, including a Level 2 Certification in Emotional Freedom Technique, a six-month programme applying Internal Family Systems (IFS) to relationships (Intimacy from the Inside Out), a comprehensive IFS course and most recently, I trained as a breathwork coach so that I could incorporate these modalities into my therapy practice.
In our In,To-Me-See Day Retreat, I use breathwork, parts work therapy, and EFT to help individuals regulate their nervous systems, enhance their emotional awareness, heal past pain, and process emotional triggers.Â

TESTIMONIALS.
Let Others Inspire You.
"I had a session with John as I noticed that I had a general underlying anxiety around new situations. In the past I have done lots of talking therapy, meditation and breathwork, but I never reached a point where my anxiety was completely resolved. During the session John guided me in trying out a few methods, including tapping therapy and parts work, and I realised that I still had some unresolved issues from the past.  It was an enjoyable, albeit emotional, experience.  It differed from the usual talking therapy approach and helped me to tap into things that I had previously been unaware of.  I would recommend going into this with an open mind.  If you have tried other styles of therapy, you may find that John’s approach can help you go deeper inside and find the parts that still need to be worked on, so it comes highly recommended from me."Â
Ashley
"When I came to Fiona I was feeling quite stuck and a bit low, and even though I know several “healing tools” nothing seemed to help me move through it.
With Fiona’s compassionate support, great listening skills and holistic somatic approach, I felt a real shift! And after our sessions, I felt my energy lighten and increase. I have found myself feeling and being more intentionally productive, choosing what feels right for me to do, instead of trying to do it all at once and getting stuck!
I highly recommend working with Fiona!!"
Georgia
"Thank you Fiona for our wonderful session. It was deep and not easy for me. Fiona is very kind, a good listener and respectful. She knew how to guide me through hard moments. I’m feeling relived"Â
Noëlla
"Thank you so much Fiona for our session. It was really helpful! I felt really heard, much calmer at the end of it and had some practical takeaways to carry forward in my busy life where I often lean towards feeling overwhelmed, taking me away from the present moment. I would not hesitate recommending Fiona."
