"We're often afraid of being vulnerable, but vulnerability creates genuine connection"

GABBY BERNSTEIN

You don’t have to wait until things reach breaking point.

Perhaps you’re snapping more than you want to, struggling to switch off after work, or going quiet because talking feels difficult.

Support gives you space to understand what’s happening and work towards feeling steadier in yourself and more connected at home.

There are two ways to work with John:

The Resilient Father Hub offers self-paced education, body-based practices and community support you can use in your own time.

1:1 Therapy for Dads offers a private space to explore your experiences, relationships and recurring patterns in more depth.

Which support is right for you?

Choose The Complete Resilient Father if you want practical, affordable, self-paced support you can return to throughout the month.

Choose 1:1 Therapy for Dads if you want personalised support for your own story, emotions, relationships, past experiences or current challenges.

You can choose either option on its own. The Complete Resilient Father membership is optional, and therapy is not included inside The Complete Resilient Father.

The Resilient Father Hub

ÂŁ29/month

For the days when you love your family, but feel stretched too thin.

Broken nights. Work pressure. Snapping when you meant to be patient, or going quiet because you don’t know how to explain what’s wrong.

You’re trying to be there for everyone. You deserve support too.

Created by John, a psychotherapist and dad, the Hub combines clear explanations with guided breathwork, grounding, parts work and EFT to help you understand your reactions and practise ways to feel steadier.

Each month explores a common parenting challenge: exhaustion, unequal responsibilities, the mental load, relationship disconnection, changes in intimacy, money pressure, family boundaries or parenting without a village.

We help you work with what these pressures bring up in you:

  • Recognise pressure earlier: understand how stress can show up in your body, feelings and relationships.

  • Find a pause: use gentle breathwork and grounding to work with tension when you feel overwhelmed.

  • Understand what’s underneath: explore the feelings and needs behind anger, withdrawal or pushing through.

  • Work with difficult feelings: follow guided EFT tapping connected to the monthly theme.

From reacting on autopilot towards understanding yourself and having more choice.

With regular practice, you can build tools to recognise your limits, express what you need and stay more present in difficult moments. We’re working towards less self-blame, more steadiness and greater connection with yourself and your family.

One theme. Four weekly videos. Support you can return to.

Across the month, your library receives an educational introduction, a breathwork and grounding practice, a parts work meditation and an EFT tapping practice. New videos are announced in the linked private community.

You’ll also find weekly reflection questions and occasional nature-based practices. Connect with other dads or quietly read along, with replies from John twice a week.

No catching up. No pressure to share. Use what helps, when you can.

Personalised 1:1 therapy is available separately. Private therapeutic messaging is not included.

1:1 Therapy for Dads

ÂŁ85/60-minute session

A space where you don’t have to carry everything alone.

Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low or increasingly angry. You might be withdrawing from your partner, struggling with family pressure, or wondering why the same arguments keep happening.

Becoming a dad can also bring painful childhood experiences to the surface, including fears about repeating patterns you grew up with.

You may understand what’s bothering you, yet still find your body tensing, your temper rising or yourself shutting down when things feel too much.

Support that includes your body, thoughts and feelings

John is a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. His approach brings together conversation, somatic awareness, breathwork, parts work and EFT to explore what you’re experiencing emotionally and how it shows up in your body.

You might notice the tension that builds before you snap, explore what sits beneath the urge to withdraw, or work with feelings that are difficult to put into words.

Your sessions offer space to make sense of your experiences and work directly with the emotions, body sensations and reactions that come with them.

You don’t need any prior knowledge of these approaches. John will explain and guide the work, with your consent, responding to what you’re exploring together and what feels helpful in that moment.

What can change?

Therapy can help you understand what sets off strong reactions and recognise what you need when pressure builds.

Over time, situations that once overwhelmed you may feel more manageable. You might find it easier to tell your partner what’s happening, stay connected during a disagreement, or recover after a difficult moment without withdrawing or turning on yourself.

You and John work at your pace, with space to pause whenever you need.

Space to take the time you need

There’s no fixed number of sessions or set timeline for working through what’s coming up for you. You can have as few or as many sessions as you need, agreeing the pace together and reviewing what feels helpful along the way.

How 1:1 Therapy Can Support You

You may know exactly what you want help with, or simply know that things haven’t felt right for a while.

Together, you and John can explore stress, anxiety, low mood, anger, burnout, relationship difficulties or past experiences affecting life now. There is room for practical support with current difficulties and deeper exploration of what sits beneath them.

Support shaped around you

John is a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. His approach brings body and mind together, exploring your thoughts, emotions, experiences and physical sensations.

Alongside making sense of your story, you’ll notice how feelings show up in your body—perhaps tension building before you snap, a tight chest when you feel anxious, or feeling numb when things become too much.

John integrates somatic awareness, breathwork, grounding, parts work and EFT through the Integrated Self Framework.

You don’t need any prior knowledge of these approaches. John will explain and guide the work, with your consent, according to what you’re exploring together and what feels helpful in that moment.

 Re-Root · Find steadiness

Notice how stress and emotion feel in your body. Explore gentle breathing, grounding or body awareness to help you feel more settled and present when pressure builds.

 Re-Connect · Understand yourself

Explore the feelings, needs and protective patterns beneath anger, anxiety or withdrawal, with curiosity rather than blame.

 Re-Wire · Explore different responses

Work with difficult emotions, body sensations and recurring patterns, using EFT where appropriate to explore triggers and practise responses that better support you and your relationships.

The framework is flexible. John draws on these approaches as the session unfolds, responding to what comes up for you. You agree the pace together, with room to pause whenever you need.
