Welcome to our Introductory Session with John! This session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine whether we are a good fit to work together.
In this sessions we’ll create a safe space for you to explore your hopes for therapy, discuss current life and relationship struggles, and examine how your early life has shaped your current experience. We will then look at how we can move forward together using the Integrated Self Framework to support you.Â
Before Your First Session:
You’ll receive an intake form, safety plan, and therapy agreement to complete beforehand. These steps help ensure your safety, comfort, and readiness as we begin our work together.

If you decide that you would like to work with me, you’ll have the opportunity to carry on with one-to-one sessions where we use the Integrated Self Framework to facilitate profound healing and lasting change.

Integrative Psychotherapy Sessions with John

These Integrative Psychotherapy Sessions are based on the Integrated Self Framework (ISF)— a layered approach designed to help you reconnect with your true-self, cultivate self-love and heal childhoods wounds so that you can enjoy truly, intimate, connected and thriving relationships.
Core principles of the Integrated Self Framework:
Re-Root: Establishes a sense of safety within your body by reconnecting with physical sensations and cultivating self-compassion. As a breathwork coach, I guide clients through intentional breathing practices to re-root during therapy sessions—using diaphragmatic breaths, box breathing, and other soothing techniques to calm the nervous system and create a secure base for emotional exploration and healing.Â
Re-Connect:Â As a psychotherapist trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), I guide you to explore and heal inner parts, disowned or hidden aspects of self to build trust and inner harmony. This process enhances self-awareness, reduces internal conflicts, and makes genuine self-love and self-acceptance more accessible.Â
Re-Wire:Â As a psychotherapist trained in Emotional Freedom Technique I use tapping on acupressure points while recalling a negative emotional memory to process triggers, release emotional blocks, and transform limiting beliefs. The memory exposure triggers the emotion, the self-acceptance phrase reduces self-criticism, and the tapping provides a soothing physical cue that helps the nervous system reset. Used together this helps deactivate the stress loop attached to the memory, often producing noticeable relief in minutes.Â
The Integrated Self Framework helps you connect into yourself and get to know yourself better so you can approach life with more confidence and clarity, feeling more assertive, empowered and able to get your needs met. You will learn how to take responsibility for yourself, be more open, vulnerable and honest and less afraid of showing up as your true self!Â
These sessions integrate these three steps into a supportive, nurturing process that encourages self-discovery, emotional regulation, and self-empowerment.
In these one-to-one sessions I use a combination of Psychotherapy (talk therapy), Breathwork Practices, Parts Work Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to help you work through your current life and relationship issues.
