Integrative Psychotherapy Sessions with John

Our Integrative Psychotherapy Sessions are based on the Integrated Self Framework (ISF)—a gentle, layered approach designed to help you reconnect with your true-self, cultivate self-love and heal childhoods wounds so that you can enjoy a truly, intimate, connected and thriving relationship.

Why we attract the partners we do?

The first thing we need to understand when it comes to relationships is that we do not choose our partners by chance. Our attraction to a partner is shaped by deep, mostly unconscious beliefs we hold about safety, attachment, and belonging that we formed in early childhood.

When we grow up, we develop an internal working model, a mental template about how we believe people behave in relationships and how the relationship should feel, based on how our parents or primary caregivers responded to us.

In our adult relationships our unconscious aim is to resolve childhood wounds by recreating a familiar relational script with an adult partner in order to heal.

The problem is when this behaviour is unconscious in our relationship, when we get triggered, our partner gets the blame and all that pain that's held in our bodies from past negative experiences gets projected onto them and we react defensively, misread or misinterpret our partners intentions and end up in cycles of tension or withdrawal that feel familiar but painful.

So how does our integrated self framework help you work through your triggers and heal childhood wounds so that you can enjoy a more connected, safe and stable relationship?

As Integrative Psychotherapists we want to help you understand and heal these unconscious patterns of behaviour using the Integrated Self Framework so you can move from an unconscious relationship where you are reactive without fully understanding why, to a conscious partnership, where you have the tools to process your triggers, heal the traumatic memories that are linked to those triggers and build a stronger more connected, authentic relationship with your partner.

What to expect from a session?

In our one-to-one sessions we work with your present relationship/life struggles by connecting in with the thoughts, feelings, emotions and bodily sensations they bring up. We use Somatic Practices and Parts Work Therapy to help you connect into your body, once you are connected to your body and the sensations that the current issue you are dealing with brings up, we connect into those present moment sensations, while simultaneously working with the original wound or memory, we then use Emotional Freedom Technique also known as tapping to start clearing the emotional charge around that memory and the thoughts, feelings, emotions and bodily sensations it brings up. This allows you to clear this traumatic memory from your system so are no longer triggered by it. As you work through these childhood wounds and unmet needs you will find that you are no longer triggered by the same issues in your relationship and your relationship will go from strength to strength.

Core principles of the Integrated Self Framework:

  • Re-Root: Establishes a sense of safety within your body by reconnecting with physical sensations and cultivating self-compassion. This foundational step helps calm your nervous system, creating a secure base for emotional exploration and healing.
  • Re-Connect: Focuses on exploring and healing your inner parts—disowned or hidden aspects of yourself—building trust and inner harmony. This step enhances self-awareness, reduces internal conflicts, and makes genuine self-love and self-acceptance more accessible.
  • Re-Wire: Uses Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to process triggers, release emotional blocks, and transform limiting beliefs or reactions such as overwhelm or self-doubt. This empowers you to respond to life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and confidence.

Each session integrates these three steps into a supportive, nurturing process that encourages self-discovery, emotional regulation, and self-empowerment.

Who are these sessions for?

Are you feeling disconnected from your partner? Do you feel the magic between you has faded? Do you find that you struggle to communicate with them without getting frustrated or reactive? Do you miss the passion you once had? Do you find it difficult to communicate with them and feel seen, heard, validated and understood? Do you feel isolated and alone? Do they feel distant and uninterested or are you simply looking for a partner but can't seem to find that perfect match. If you answered yes to any of these questions then these therapy sessions are for you. The Integrated Self Framework will help you connect into yourself and help you get to know yourself better so you can approach your relationship or future relationships with more confidence and clarity, feeling more assertive, empowered and able to get your needs met. You will learn how to take responsibility for yourself, be more open, vulnerable and honest and less afraid of showing up as your true self!

TESTIMONIALS.

Let Others Inspire You.

"When I came to Fiona I was feeling quite stuck and a bit low, and even though I know several “healing tools” nothing seemed to help me move through it.

With Fiona’s compassionate support, great listening skills and holistic somatic approach, I felt a real shift! And after our sessions, I felt my energy lighten and increase. I have found myself feeling and being more intentionally productive, choosing what feels right for me to do, instead of trying to do it all at once and getting stuck!

I highly recommend working with Fiona!!"

"I had a session with John as I noticed that I had a general underlying anxiety around new situations. In the past I have done lots of talking therapy, meditation and breathwork, but I never reached a point where my anxiety was completely resolved. During the session John guided me in trying out a few methods, including tapping therapy and parts work, and I realised that I still had some unresolved issues from the past.  It was an enjoyable, albeit emotional, experience.  It differed from the usual talking therapy approach and helped me to tap into things that I had previously been unaware of.  I would recommend going into this with an open mind.  If you have tried other styles of therapy, you may find that John’s approach can help you go deeper inside and find the parts that still need to be worked on, so it comes highly recommended from me."
